Rapid Antigen Tests
Rapid antigen tests can detect whether proteins of the COVID-19 coronavirus are present in your body. RATs are quick — returning a result within 10 to 20 minutes. You can do the test at home and in your own time, and without a doctor.
Please see the linkS below for more information on this form of testing

People who have self-administered a RAT at home for COVID-19 and tested positive, must register their result online with the Department of Health.
This process will take several minutes and can be completed by the person who has returned the positive result or another person on their behalf - if they need assistance.
Changes to the Practice
INFECTION CONTROL IN THE CURRENT HEALTH ENVIRONMENT
We take the health and safety of our patients and our staff seriously and pride ourselves in offering a caring environment that our patients feel safe in. We employ frequent cleaning throughout the practice, hand sanitiser stations and if required personal protective masks for our patients and staff. We also ask every one of our patients about their current health symptoms to ensure that we reduce the risk of infection spread while patients are in the waiting room and minimise the risk to our clinical team. If they get sick then we cannot help those who require care !
For patients
How to book
We remain committed to ensuring your health needs are met. Currently we are able to offer both telehealth consults (for eligible patients) and face to face appointments. You can book online through our websites or you can call the clinic direct.
When you should not come in
If you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms, cough, sore throat, fevers, shortness of breath or gastrointestinal symptoms we are still committed to help you . Please call the clinic and one of our team will advise you of the best way for you to be looked after. We kindly ask you not to enter our clinic if you have been travelling within the last 14 days, been self isolating due to cold/flu like symptoms, been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID 19 or contact with a person who is waiting results of the test for COVID 19. A phone call to our team will ensure we direct you to ensure your care needs are met.
What to do when you arrive
Please report to the reception team who will ask a few questions to ensure the health outcomes for all .
Please respect the social distancing rules
You will see that we have spaced the chairs out in our waiting room to meet with these recommendations. We are trying to limit the number of people in the waiting room so we kindly request that only the person (and if required 1 parent/care giver) enter the practice.
Cold/Flu Symptoms
If you have any respiratory symptoms, runny nose, sore throat, cough or fever, we ask that you please make an appointment to be seen at Clarkson Respiratory Clinic. This enables us to still care for you in a way that protects other patients and clinical staff from contracting symptoms. Thank you for understanding.
